Chinese Energetic Therapy

Return your body to its natural state of equilibrium

In traditional Chinese culture, qi (or chi) is the vital energy that circulates and exists in all living things. Qi translates literally as "breath"or "air;" in practice it is used to mean "life force"or "energy flow." Known in India as prana or shaki, qi is the underlying principle in traditional Chinese medicine and in martial arts.

The oldest of the four main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine – along with acupuncture, herbs and medical massage – Medical Qigong is an ancient and effective form of Chinese energetic medicine.

By identifying disruptions in the electromagnetic energy of the body – which can be caused by a myriad of factors, including lifestyle, disease, diet, accident and injuries, surgery, emotions, aging and other internal and external factors – Medical Qigong treats the client as a whole, on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.

By releasing blockages, correcting imbalance and releasing deep-seated emotions and stress, the body is returned to its natural state of equilibrium, creating health and harmony from the inside out.

In China and beyond, Medical Qigong has been found to be effective for treating:

  • Headaches

  • Chronic pain

  • Digestive disorders

  • Respiratory and nervous system

  • Autoimmune diseases

  • Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue

  • Trauma

  • Emotional challenges

  • Side effects from radiation and chemotherapy

  • Post-stroke syndrome

  • Symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis

Because this is an energetic treatment, Medical Qigong sessions may be held in person or remotely.
